For Smyrna triathlete Renee Parsons, crossing the finish line at the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Nice, France, represented another major milestone in a journey that began with marathon running nearly two decades ago.
Parsons competed in the women’s race Sept. 12, finishing the demanding course in 8 hours, 11 minutes and 30 seconds.
