Extended Heat Wave to Bring Triple-Digit Temperatures to Pasadena, San Gabriel Valley

An extended heat wave is expected to begin Friday across Southern California and continue through at least next Thursday, with the possibility of lasting longer, according to the National Weather Service office in Los Angeles/Oxnard.

An Extreme Heat Watch is in effect for much of Santa Barbara, Ventura and Los Angeles counties from 10:00 am on Oct. 2 through 8:00 pm on Oct. 8.
