GREGORY — Local law enforcement authorities are investigating the death of a contractor who died Sept. 30 while working at Cheniere Energy’s Corpus Christi Liquefaction plant in Gregory.
A spokesperson for Corpus Christi Liquefaction (CCL) confirmed the company is fully cooperating with local law enforcement in the investigation.
“Corpus Christi Liquefaction (CCL) confirms that they are fully cooperating with local law enforcement authorities in their investigation into the death of a contractor at their Gregory site on Sept. 30,” Cheniere said in a statement. “The incident was unrelated to facility operations or ongoing construction activities, and all other site personnel are safe. Corpus Christi Liquefaction (CCL) extends their deepest sympathies to the individual’s family, co-workers, and loved ones during this difficult time.”…
