NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The RTA Opportunity Pass Pilot Program will officially end on Monday (Nov. 30), according to a press release from Ride New Orleans.
The program that launched in Sept. 2024 provided free public transportation to Orleans Parish youth ages 16-24. The program is said to have helped more than 11,500 young people during its two-year run.
The City of New Orleans made the pilot program possible with one-time funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) in partnership with Ride New Orleans, the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority, the New Orleans Public Library and the New Orleans Children and Youth Planning Board…
