Man arrested, charged after 77 St. Louis fire hydrants damaged

ST. LOUIS – Authorities have now arrested a man wanted in connection with 77 damaged fire hydrants in the City of St. Louis.

Police arrested Harry Farmer, 64, of Illinois, around 1 p.m. Thursday during a joint operation with U.S. Marshals and Illinois law enforcement partners.

Farmer is facing eight felonies in connection with his arrest: Four counts of stealing $750 or more and four counts of first-degree property damage…
