STARK COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – The mother of the 14-year-old boy accused of killing a 15-year-old girl at a home in Alliance this summer, was arraigned in Stark County Court of Common Pleas Friday.
Erin Barker, 47, pleaded not guilty to the charge of tampering with evidence. She will return to court on Oct. 15 for a pre-trial.
Alliance police said Barker’s son used her gun to fatally shoot Kennedy Wise around 4:15 p.m. on June 19 at a home in the 600 block of W. Summit St.
According to police, the boy, an acquaintance of the victim, brought the gun to the home.
After the shooting, the boy removed the gun from the scene and told his mother, Barker, the shooting was a suicide…
