Upper Macungie looks to future of fire stations, recruitment

U. MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. – The Upper Macungie Township Board of Supervisors considered motions involving the future of fire department services Thursday night at the community center.

The actions include directing the township manager to secure appraisals for Upper Macungie’s existing fire stations. A second motion updated the Station 56/57 lease agreement and provided notice to Station 56. A third and final action authorized the transfer of funds to support the recruitment and retention for Upper Macungie Fire and Rescue Station 57.
