Sister Wives Star Meri Brown Reveals Shocking Truth About Kody and Robyn’s Relationship

Additional Coverage:

Longtime viewers of Sister Wives have long speculated about the true nature of the Brown family’s relationships, and now Season 21 is set to confirm what many have suspected for years.

In a recently released teaser from TLC, a significant revelation about Kody and Robyn Brown’s relationship comes to light-one that confirms rumors swirling around the family since the show’s debut. Tensions are at an all-time high following recent changes in filming, and one cast member is speaking out candidly about what really happened behind the scenes.

Meri Brown, Kody’s first legal wife, who divorced him in 2014 so he could marry Robyn and legally adopt her three children-Aurora, Breanna, and Dayton-opens up on camera in a moment that validates long-held fan theories.

The network emphasized Meri’s candidness with the caption, “Meri goes there!”

During a conversation with her friend Jenn Sullivan, Meri revealed the breakdown in communication between her and Kody and Robyn after the latter pair decided to step away from the TLC series.

“They’re not willing to talk to me, Kody and Robyn,” Meri said. “Then they were like, ‘we are not going to film with you guys anymore.’”

Jenn suggested, “I think monogamy is their thing.” Meri then dropped the bombshell: “I think back in 2010 monogamy became their thing.”

She added with a blunt edge, “Wow, I’m gonna get s***, but you know what, he’s not filming anymore. So f*** him.”

Meri’s remarks confirm what fans have long suspected-that Kody and Robyn were more or less performing their polygamist lifestyle for the cameras, while in reality, they lived as a monogamous couple apart from Meri, Janelle Brown, and Christine Brown Woolley.

Fan responses to the clip were quick to back up this revelation.

“She finally said the quiet part out loud,” one follower wrote. Another commented, “They never wanted to talk to you!

They were forced to!! It was so obvious.”

One fan hoped for further revelations, writing, “I hope they are petty as heck and talk about all the things that were not allowed before. Tell me about all the money.”

Another chimed in, “Good for you Meri! Finally you realized and said it. It all began 2010, when Robyn joined the family.”

Season 21 of Sister Wives premieres Sunday, October 4, at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
