POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A probation check near Polk City took an unexpected turn Wednesday night after deputies ended up arresting a man who wasn’t even the person they came to see.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy arrived at a home on Old Grade Road around 9:40 p.m. on September 30 to conduct a scheduled check. When the deputy knocked, 25-year-old Starlin Eduardo Sanchez Parra answered the door.
Deputies quickly confirmed that Sanchez Parra was not the probationer listed for the address. However, as the deputy ran his information, a background check revealed an active out-of-state felony warrant out of Georgia for identity theft and fourth-degree fraud…
