The Rutherford County Planning Commission voted to move forward with a public hearing regarding a one-year moratorium for the approval and building of data centers at its October meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12 at the courthouse on the downtown square in Murfreesboro.
County Planning Director Doug Demosi told the commission he had not been contacted regarding data centers.
“As far as a clear rule for any applications already submitted, there are none,” he said. “At this point, I don’t anticipate any. Again, this is not something … I’m not getting phone calls about this…
