SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Webster Pond, a landmark in Syracuse’s Valley neighborhood popular with families, got a lifeline today when Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon announced a one-time $25,000 grant to prevent the park from abruptly closing due to financial woes.
“Webster Pond is a beloved space that has brought joy, education, and connection to generations of local residents,” McMahon said. “Thanks to the dedication of the Anglers Association and the overwhelming generosity of our community, we are taking an important step toward protecting this asset for years to come.”
