A Brighton man is jailed without bond, accused of stealing brass from dozens of fire hydrants across north St. Louis.
Working with U.S. marshals, St. Louis metropolitan police took 64-year-old Harry Glenn Farmer into custody, Thursday afternoon, in Granite City. Farmer’s charged with four felony counts of stealing and four felony counts of first-degree property damage.
The charges relating to the fire hydrant vandalism date back to September 23rd and 24th, where court records say Farmer can be seen on surveillance tape using a saw to remove the metal. He then was seen on video selling it at a recycling business…
