NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — A 24-year-old Santee man was arrested Friday morning following a physical fight outside a business on Rivers Avenue, according to police.
Jalen Latrell Trevon Riggins was charged with second-degree assault and battery and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
North Charleston police officers responded shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Friday to the 7200 block of Rivers Avenue for a reported disturbance. When officers arrived, they found Riggins restrained on the ground behind a street sweeper by another man.
Police said the victim suffered minor cuts after Riggins tried to punch him and struck him in the head with a chair. A witness told investigators the fight started when the victim asked Riggins to move his truck so workers could continue cleaning the parking lot…
