HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is working to create a new traffic pattern.
Officials say crews have been working around the clock this week to expedite construction of a median crossover in Henderson that will allow one lane of southbound U.S. 41 traffic to temporarily use the northbound bridge.
The KYTC notes this was originally scheduled to take until the end of next week. KYTC personnel have logged numerous overnight hours this week to accelerate construction of the crossover. The new traffic configuration is expected to be in place before the start of the Monday morning commute.
