Driver extricated after semi, trailer roll over in Ottawa County crash

OTTAWA COUNTY, MI —A 72-year-old Allendale man was extricated from his cab after his truck and trailer rolled over Friday afternoon at Port Sheldon Street and 120th Avenue.

A preliminary investigation shows that the Allendale man was hauling 40,000 pounds of sand in a gravel truck, and traveling through the roundabout at Port Sheldon and 120th when his load shifted, causing his semi and trailer to roll over onto their sides, Ottawa County Sheriff’s Lt. Nick Knott stated in an incident report.
