LSU student from Thibodaux arrested after drugs, nitrous oxide discovered in campus apartment

A Thibodaux native and current LSU student was arrested after nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, and marijuana were found inside an East Campus Apartments residence.

18-year-old Boyd Hebert, originally from Thibodaux, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony possession of controlled substances on Sept. 29.

LSU police officers responded to a drug complaint made by Hebert’s RA, who stated that during a routine room inspection on Sept. 28, RAs found what appeared to be nitrous oxide used for inhalation on the top shelf of the closet in Hebert’s room, according to an LSUPD incident report…
