OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Heavy rain fell fast and had nowhere to drain but basements, flooding homes near 35th Street and Frederick, by Hanscom Park. For some families, it’s familiar territory.
Water reaches the door
Kevin Manzitto has lived at the home for more than 30 years. He said the house sits at the bottom of two hills, which overwhelms the storm sewer system and sends water into his backyard.
“It was crazy. You can kind of see on the door here how high the water was,” Manzitto said.
