Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson has taken a major step forward-she and her boyfriend, Drawing Carswell, have purchased their first home together in Colorado. The 21-year-old reality star shared the exciting news on social media, expressing the significance of this milestone.
“We are officially HOMEOWNERS!” Alana wrote on Facebook.
“This may not seem like much to some, but it means the world to us. So many emotions, so much patience, and so many moments wondering if it would finally happen, and now we get to say this home is OURS.
Here’s to building our future and making memories in a place we can call our own.”
Alana also updated fans on Instagram, mentioning her enthusiasm for upcoming renovation projects, particularly the remodeling of both bathrooms in their new Denver residence.
Since moving to Denver in 2023, Alana has been pursuing her studies at Regis University with aspirations of becoming a pediatric nurse, aiming for a 2029 graduation. Drawing Carswell relocated with her, and the couple has been living together for some time. Interestingly, Alana’s mother, Mama June Shannon, revealed in a TikTok video that they had been cohabiting since Alana was 15.
Their relationship has occasionally stirred family controversy, largely due to Carswell’s criminal history. In 2023, he pleaded not guilty following an incident where he led police on a chase with Alana, who was then underage, in the vehicle. Alana was not charged and was safely returned home by her sister.
During the incident, authorities found a bag of marijuana and an unregistered firearm in the car. Court documents indicate that Carswell had marijuana in his system at a level that impaired his ability to drive safely.
Despite past challenges, Alana and Drawing appear focused on building their life together in their new home.
