VCSD named in contractor lawsuit

NEW SCOTLAND — In a recently-filed lawsuit, a Cortland County steel company claims it’s still owed nearly $50,000 for work it finished on the Voorheesville Central School District’s main campus nearly a year ago.

Homer Iron Works is going after the money two ways, it’s suing the contractor that hired it and moving to foreclose on money set aside for the district’s multi-year capital construction project.

Voorheesville Superintendent Frank Macri declined to comment on the suit…
