Human trafficking case highlights Malden business’ training on how to help

A recent human trafficking case in Malden, Massachusetts, prompted a local pest control company to call attention to a group of people it says could play an important role in identifying potential victims: workers who regularly enter private homes.

Galvin Murphy, director of business development at Yankee Pest Control, said technicians, health care workers and other service providers often have access to homes that law enforcement and others do not.

“You’re in the metro area and you got 30,000 houses just in Malden alone, and we can get into maybe 100 of those a day. You can make a difference,” Murphy said…
