PEMBROKE — It seemed that every time a Purnell Swett Ram tried to tackle Sebastian O’Keefe on Friday night at Big Mo Stadium, he made a move to evade and continued upfield for his latest big-yardage conquest.
The Terry Sanford junior running back ran for more than 350 yards — totaling more than 400 all-purpose yards — and scored four touchdowns as the Bulldogs began Tri-County Conference play with a 34-22 win over Purnell Swett.
“Hats off to Terry Sanford. Quality program, obviously they’ve got a running back that’s hard to tackle and he just ran up and down the field tonight,” Purnell Swett coach Lawrence Ches said. “We’ve just go to do better. We’ve got to get back to practice, we’ve got practice tackling, we’ve got to practice blocking, we’ve got to get back to the fundamentals day by day.”…
