Georgia man accused of impersonating Alamance County deputy to scam family, Graham police say

GRAHAM, N.C. (WGHP) — A man from Georgia has been accused of impersonating an Alamance County deputy to steal money from a family, according to the Graham Police Department.

Devonta Brayon Baker is charged with felony obtaining property by false pretense, felony accessing computers, felony obtaining property by false pretense, felony attempted larceny, misdemeanor accessing computers, misdemeanor larceny and misdemeanor impersonating law enforcement.

On June 18, Graham police received a report of fraud that happened over the phone.
