PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WJAR) — There’s always a need for blood donations in Rhode Island and across the country, and some local brewers are trying to do their part to get people in line.
Discipline Brewing opened its Pawtucket location earlier this year, and Creative Director Courtney Deary said employees had been trying to think of a new collaboration for a good cause.
That’s when the unique idea came along to brew up Bee Positive, a new beer made in partnership with the Rhode Island Blood Center.
“It’s a traditional Octoberfest or German festival beer,” Deary said. “The name was inspired by the B positive blood type, so adding in the honey was just a natural play on the name.”…
