Man rescued from creek near Abrams Road in Lake Highlands

A man was rescued by Dallas Fire-Rescue swift-water boat crews after becoming stranded in a creek culvert Thursday evening, Oct. 1, near 6847 Abrams Rd., according to a Dallas City Council District 10 Facebook post.

DFR crews were dispatched to the area at approximately 6:32 p.m. and successfully removed the man from the water around 7:18 p.m. He was evaluated at the scene and was not transported to a hospital, District 10 Councilwoman Kathy Stewart wrote in her Facebook post…
