Ohio State Highway Patrol investigating plane crash in Stark County

STARK COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol Canton Post is investigating a plane crash in Stark County that occurred at the Lee Airport in Lexington Township Saturday.

The post reports that the crash happened Saturday at 10:41 a.m. and involved a 1957 Cessna 182A single-engine plane from Canton Air Sport that lost control during its landing and continued through its designated landing zone and struck a ditch and came to a rest on state Route 225.

The pilot is from Twin Falls, Idaho, and is reported to have suffered minor injuries and to have been transported to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital…
