ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — As we begin mental health awareness month, one organization hosted a walk to recognize mental health.
For nine years, NAMI Capital Region has held the NAMI walk. The event raises money to support NAMI’s free mental-health education and support programs. This year, they have raised $20,855.

But for some attendees like Steve Hippel, the walk has a deeper meaning,
“We lost our son, her brother, in May of this year. We found NAMI and decided to support NAMI and to bring awareness to, mental health and that there’s help out there.”…
