The Redlands City Council approved an agreement Sept. 15 that establishes the city’s responsibilities and financial obligations for complying with regional stormwater regulations under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES).
“This item before you is a federally mandated regulatory program administered through the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board,” said Municipal Utilities and Engineering Director Monica Heredia.
“The implementation agreement provides an equitable distribution of program costs among the 16 participating cities — all of which conduct the storm water management activities in accordance with the requirements of the permit.”…
