Wichita conference helps those navigating life after incarceration

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — More than 250 people gathered in Wichita this week for a conference focused on helping people successfully return to their communities after incarceration.

Organizers say reentry involves much more than simply walking out of prison.

“Coming out of prison is not just getting out of prison; it’s fighting housing, employment, transportation, proper mental health, and all those things,” said Matt Thomas, executive director of Firm Foundation Ministries.
