Lakeland Area
On State Road 33 (Commonwealth Avenue) at Mount Olive Road, crews continue underground and concrete work. No lane closures are planned this week, but drivers should watch for shoulder closures and workers near the road.
On State Road 33 (Lakeland Hills Boulevard), traffic has shifted onto newly built lanes on the east side of the roadway as construction continues. Expect lane shifts and reduced lanes.
Winter Haven and Bartow Area
On U.S. 17 from north of Transport Road in Bartow to Avenue G S.W. in Winter Haven, crews are placing pavement markings. Expect nighttime and overnight lane closures. Be prepared to merge.
Auburndale and Northeast Polk Area
On State Road 544 (Lucerne Park Road) at Old Lucerne Park Road East, crews continue building a new traffic signal, pedestrian signals, high-visibility crosswalks, lighting and a concrete traffic separator. Expect overnight lane closures.
