Eugene woman arrested for DUII after resisting getting in patrol car

A 22-year-old Eugene woman was arrested on DUII and reckless driving charges after she drove over a curb and sidewalk early Saturday morning and then resisted getting into a patrol car, according to the Eugene Police Department (EPD).

At 2:16 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, a Eugene police officer passing the Wetlands Bar on Garfield Street saw a red Prius hit a curb in the parking lot, back up and then speed over the curb and sidewalk before turning onto the street. The officer activated emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver did not react and continued driving before eventually pulling over at a nearby business.

The driver, identified as Bianca Navarro, was asked for her driver’s license but handed the officer a credit card instead. EPD said she admitted to drinking alcohol and was given field sobriety tests before she was arrested for DUII…
