CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Virginia is working to rewrite the rules governing public pools and other aquatic facilities across the state, with proposed changes that could affect water quality, staffing, lifeguards, rescue equipment and other safety requirements.
The Virginia Department of Health is working to replace two existing sets of pool regulations with one broader set of rules for public aquatic facilities.
