LYNCHBURG, Tenn. — Moore County marched 80 yards on its opening drive Friday night and looked every bit like a team ready to celebrate Homecoming. It turned out to be the only time the Raiders found the end zone.
Eagleville answered with 24 unanswered points, handing the Raiders a 24-6 loss.
The Raiders’ first possession was their best. Starting at their own 20 after a touchback, quarterback Austin Scherff moved the offense with a keeper to the 33 before finding Westin Byrom on back-to-back completions, the first an excellent grab on third-and-seven and the second carrying Moore County to the Eagleville 17.
