A truck stop employee was taken into custody Saturday, Oct. 3. The Lowndes County Sheriff’s office arrested Jacqueline Jones for theft from her employer, Love’s Travel Center in Hope Hull.
Investigations commander, Lt. Tony Green, said Jones, 25, was charged with third-degree theft after taking approximately $1,000 from her drawer while on duty at the truck stop just off U.S. Interstate Highways 65. Surveillance cameras caught Jones in the act while on duty at the store.
Jones is currently held at the Lowndes County Jail, with bond set at $10,000…
