On Thursday (October 1) at around 6:15 p.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a missing child in the 62400 block of Crestview Drive in Joshua Tree.
Deputies identified the suspect as Rebecca Centeno, a 45 year-old resident of Tulare. They say she arrived at the home, and attempted to contact the resident and several children in the home. Deputies said that Centeno was the mother of the children in the home, but she did not have custodial rights to them.
Deputies say Centeno went to the back of the home and grabbed a child through a window. Deputies say the father attempted to grab the child, but lost his grasp. They say Centeno took his cellular phone and fled the scene in a vehicle with the child…
