True Food Kitchen, a restaurant serving salads, sandwiches, juices and more health-focused items in New Orleans since 2019, closed for good Sunday as the parent company files for bankruptcy.
“This True Food Kitchen location is now closed,” a sign on the door of the Warehouse District restaurant said Monday. Yellow and green chairs and barstools were flipped on tables as some workers inside carried boxes and packing wrap.
The True Food Kitchen at the corner of Julia and St. Charles streets, the only location in Louisiana, is one of 12 across the U.S. that closed amid the company’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, according to a company news release. Thirty-four True Food Kitchen locations remain open…
