ALBANY — A 23-year-old man was charged with fatally shooting Arell K. Agapito in the Pine Hills neighborhood two weeks ago, Albany Police Chief Brendan Cox announced during a news conference Monday afternoon.
Authorities detained the suspect, Khaliq M. Ibrahim, earlier Monday morning near South Allen Street in connection with the deadly Sept. 26 incident. He was later charged with felony counts of second-degree murder and second-degree criminal weapon possession.
Agapito was found dead in an alleyway after city police responded to a reported shooting at a home near Elberon Place and Quail Street. He had been shot in the home and collapsed outside, police said…
