JEROME TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WSYX) — Jerome Township trustees are meeting Tuesday morning with a single agenda item that could determine whether Fire Chief Doug Stewart keeps his job.
The agenda lists “the considerations of the discipline or dismissal of a public employee.” Stewart has been on paid administrative leave since May 2.
Township records show Stewart is accused of violating township policies by appearing in campaign videos and photographs for Ohio state representative candidate Wezlynn Davis while wearing his fire uniform.
