Sunshine returns to the Carolinas, tropical threat grows in the Gulf

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Temperatures are much cooler as you step outside this morning, with a few inland areas dropping into the mid and upper 50s. Along the coast, temperatures are hovering around 60 to 62 degrees, which is right on par for early October.

Sunshine will return this afternoon, and we have some beautiful fall weather ahead through the rest of the workweek. A few clouds will linger today, but the blue skies and sunshine will be a welcome sight after the past few gloomy days.

High temperatures today will stay close to normal, reaching the mid-70s along the coast and the upper 70s inland. Tonight will be a little cooler, with lows again in the mid and upper 50s with a couple of 40s mixed in. Temperatures warm only slightly tomorrow. No major warm-up is expected, and dry weather will continue through Friday…
