(FOX40.COM) — Mourners gathered near the corner of Marconi and Eastern in Sacramento County on Monday night to remember the man who was shot and killed by deputies Sunday morning — and called for justice and accountability.
“It could have been handled in a totally different manner than what happened,” Jasmine Guttenbeil said. “And now he leaves behind his four sons with no father.”
Jasmine identified herself as the spouse of the man who died, 34-year-old Ingold Guttenbeil.
“In Psalm 34:18, it says, ‘The Lord is close to the broken-hearted. He saves those who are crushed in spirit,'” Jasmine Guttenbeil said. “I know right now is a really hard time. And after all of this is done, I know that everybody is going to leave and go home to their families, but me and my kids are going to mourn for the rest of our lives.”…
