CAHOKIA HEIGHTS, Ill. – Teachers in Cahokia School District #187 expressed frustration after Monday’s scheduled school board meeting at Huffman Elementary was canceled. Educators are in their second school year without a new contract.
Superintendent Curtis McCall Jr. told FOX 2 News that some board members were unable to attend, meaning there would not have been a quorum.
“For them to just cancel the meeting is unacceptable,” Ray Roskos, Illinois Federation of Teachers, said. “I think this is the third time now that they’ve canceled a meeting with less than an hour’s notice.”…
