16 arrested on suspicion of DUI during maximum enforcement period in Bakersfield: CHP

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The California Highway Patrol Bakersfield Office announced the number of citations and arrests made during the statewide 12-hour Maximum Enforcement Period that took place Friday night.

Sixteen people were arrested in Bakersfield on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to CHP.

In all, officers issued 53 citations in the city. Of those, 28 were for speeding less than or equal to 100 mph and five for distracted driving, CHP said…
