South Charlotte neighbors fight to save 100-year-old live oak trees from removal

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Neighbors in Charlotte said their last goodbyes this week to two huge live oak trees that will soon be removed for a construction project.

Site plans show that the two 100-year-old oaks will be cut down near Freedom Park in south Charlotte to make way for the construction of a new home.
