GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A milk tanker overturned in Grand Rapids Tuesday afternoon, blocking an entrance ramp to I-196, police say.
A Grand Rapids Fire Department spokesperson said that the overturned semi was northbound on College Avenue when it rolled over during its attempt to turn onto the I-196 entrance ramp. The semi was taking a posted detour to get onto northbound US-131, according to Michigan State Police.
Shortly after 1 p.m., a News 8 crew observed milk leaking in the road and a GRFD spokesperson said there is a full hazmat team at the scene of the crash. No one was injured, according to MSP.
