Michigan Families for Fair Care and Progress Michigan hosted the “Priced Out at the Pump” event at Progress Michigan’s Lansing office Tuesday afternoon. Drivers who stopped by the were able to pick up a $25 gas card, along with information on what the organizations say is causing prices to rise.

“Obviously gas prices spiked dramatically starting in February after the war with Iran, and Michigan drivers are spending on average $75 more a month this year than they were last year on gas,” Michigan Families for Fair Care Executive Director Steve Lawson said. “So we wanted to do our part to give away some gas cards and try to make life a little more affordable.”
