BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Every month, thousands of emergency calls come into Baldwin County’s 911 center, and that number is climbing as the county continues to grow.

When the phone rings, emergency dispatchers are ready for any situation. But Baldwin County 911 operators are getting a lot more calls lately.
“Our call volume, which was usually 7,000 to 8,000 a month, has now increased up to 11,000 a month on the floor,” Kathryn Byrd, Baldwin County 911’s deputy director of operations, said.
