Brookfield police arrested a 45-year-old Chicago man on Sept. 21 for aggravated speeding.
Around 2:20 a.m., an officer was on patrol on the 8800 block of 31st Street when they observed a vehicle accelerate to a rate of 75 mph in the posted 30-mph zone before maintaining a speed of about 73 mph.
The officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle at the intersection of 31st Street and First Avenue in Riverside and made contact with the driver, who acknowledged he had been pulled over due to his speed.
