Judge rejects transport company request to reinstate license after three clients’ deaths

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A Utah judge upheld the state’s revocation of a transport company’s license after three clients were found dead in an employee’s garage earlier this year.

In March, the Utah Department of Health and Human Services revoked the license of Safe and Sound Services after the deaths of 25-year-old Colton Moser, 22-year-old Mosa’ati Moa, and 39-year-old Tim Jones.

The three men were found dead due to carbon monoxide poisoning in a car after he had allegedly left them with the car running in his garage. The employee, identified as 25-year-old Isaiah Pulu, has since been charged with three counts of murder for what Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill called “a depraved indifference to human life.”

Safe and Sound Services challenged the revocation of its license, as well as $31,100 in civil penalties, arguing Pulu was in direct violation of his training and acted without management’s authorization when he allegedly took the clients home and left them in his car…
