Meghan Markle shared a heartfelt update on Instagram this week, offering a glimpse into her journey since launching her lifestyle brand, As Ever. The Duchess of Sussex posted a reflective video montage on Tuesday, October 6, highlighting moments that showcase her entrepreneurial spirit-a drive she says has been with her since childhood.
The video features a blend of personal clips, including childhood photos, scenes of Meghan at work, and an endearing moment with her five-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet. In one sweet snippet, Meghan and Lilibet are seen preparing a dish together, with the young princess charmingly telling her mother, “I think it’s beautiful.” Lilibet also appears dressed in a beekeeper suit, a nod to the honey their bees have produced, which Meghan proudly presents.
Accompanying the video, Meghan opened up about her early ventures: “When I was about eight years old I started my own business making handmade scrunchies I sewed on my grandmother’s Singer sewing machine and sold for $1 a piece.” She also recounted other youthful entrepreneurial efforts, from selling Girl Scout cookies to running lemonade stands and working in a frozen yogurt shop.
Meghan expressed gratitude to her team at As Ever for helping bring her vision to life and included touching tributes to her mother, Doria, and husband, Prince Harry. A brief clip shows Harry watching Meghan with pride as she inspects her brand’s merchandise.
This post coincides with the launch of As Ever’s holiday collection, which includes an advent calendar priced at $148, with more seasonal products expected soon. Despite Meghan and Harry’s recent move back to the UK with their children-settling near London-As Ever products have yet to be made available to British shoppers.
While Meghan has made a few public appearances since returning to the UK in August, she has not yet taken part in any official engagements. The Instagram update provides a warm, personal insight into the duchess’s life as she balances family, business, and her evolving public role.
