NEW YORK (PIX11) — A historic Brooklyn firehouse is replacing sirens with the sound of music.
City officials, students and community leaders gathered in Cobble Hill on Tuesday to celebrate the groundbreaking at the former Engine Company 204 firehouse on Degraw Street.

It is becoming the permanent home of the Noel Pointer Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides free music education to New York City students.
