BLENDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two teenage girls are hospitalized with serious injuries following a three-car crash in Blendon Township early Wednesday morning.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies reported to WOOD Radio News that a 21-year-old Zeeland man was driving north on 72nd Avenue just after 7 o’clock when his SUV rear-ended a Hyundai that was slowing to make a turn onto Blair Street. The Hyundai was driven by a 17-year-old girl and had a 14-year-old passenger. The impact shoved that vehicle into oncoming traffic, where it struck a car head-on, while the SUV careened into a ditch and caught fire.
The two teenagers were taken to a hospital, while the 21-year-old Zeeland man managed to escape his burning SUV. He and the 36-year-old Allendale woman who drove the the car suffered minor injuries…
